Clients have responded very positively about the program and the paramedics. The paramedics working the program are very knowledgeable, caring, and calming. It has been a huge relief and I feel like I can offer the help clients need through the program. Ania Klonowski, Program Nurse- Rapid Access to Addictions Medicine (RAAM)
I am writing to give you feedback about the important help we have received from the community paramedic service. My Dad is able to have his wish to stay at home right now, with assistance from the Palliative Care program. Your community paramedics have helped make this possible. After regular business hours last week, Dad required a new IV so he could continue his required course of antibiotics. Ryan came to our rescue. Kelly
I’m writing to share some reflections on my role as a nurse practitioner with the Home Detox program as I have now been in the position for 18 months. Overall, it has been an excellent experience. The team composition of NP and paramedics has been extremely complimentary. There was never a case that was beyond the scope of our team. I think that the high degree of satisfaction we heard from service users/relatives derives from the fact that the service never turned them away but was always able to safely meet their needs in a timely fashion. Jeannie Coe NP
The primary purpose of this letter is to thank you for your efforts in providing excellent care to your patients. I know through the experience of a loved one, your commitment to providing dignified and respectful care is what makes this program stand out....Community paramedicine is a resource that provides exactly that. It meets patients where they are at; in their homes. It is dignified, respectful, and efficient care. We believe the future of the community paramedicine program is bright and deserving of space in our healthcare community. Jana Hollingsworth
