This week marks National Telecommunicators Week, a time to recognize the dedicated emergency medical dispatchers who are the first, first responders in every 911 call. They work around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing calm, skilled guidance in moments that can mean the difference between life and death. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the vital work happening inside our region’s Accredited Communications Centre and learning what the public can expect when they dial 911.
