Medavie Health Services West MCCC Re-Accredited as Medical ACE

Medavie Health Services West’s Medical Communications & Coordination Centre (MCCC) in Saskatoon has once again earned international recognition

Medavie Health Services West is proud to announce that its Medical Communications & Coordination Centre (MCCC) in Saskatoon has once again earned accreditation as a Medical ACE (Accredited Center of Excellence) from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). This marks the ninth time the centre has achieved this prestigious distinction, making it the 48th Medical ACE in the world.

ACE accreditation is considered the gold standard in emergency communications. It recognizes dispatch centres that demonstrate consistent excellence in areas such as quality assurance, training, protocol compliance, and continuous improvement. Fewer than 50 centres worldwide have achieved this recognition, placing Medavie’s MCCC among an elite group of organizations committed to the highest standards of emergency medical dispatch.

“Achieving ACE accreditation for the ninth time is a milestone that belongs to every member of our team,” said Marilyn Allison, Senior Operations Manager, Saskatoon Medical Communications & Coordination Centre. “Our dispatchers are the first, first responders. They guide callers through critical moments, often under stress and uncertainty. This recognition reaffirms their skill and dedication. It also challenges us to maintain and exceed these benchmarks in the years ahead.”

Medavie extends its thanks and congratulations to all staff of the MCCC and especially to its emergency dispatchers for their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to saving lives.
