With one course dedicated to airway management in EMS and another exploring effective feedback and mentoring techniques, these webinars are designed to strengthen both technical and interpersonal skills. Whether you're aiming to build clinical confidence or support your peers' growth, these sessions offer evidence-informed tools to elevate your practice.

*Note: to obtain the certificate to claim CE credits, attendees must be present for the entire session with their camera turned on. Recordings of sessions will be available after completion to review but will only be eligible for self-directed CE Credits.

Airway Management in EMS: Mastering the Difficult Airway
Effective airway management remains one of the most critical—and challenging—skills in prehospital care. Airway Management in EMS: Mastering the Difficult Airway is an advanced in-service training session designed to equip paramedics with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to manage complex airway scenarios in the field.This webinar emphasizes a shift in mindset: prioritizing oxygenation over intubation. Through a comprehensive review of evidence-based practices and emerging techniques, participants will explore practical and tactical approaches to managing the difficult airway outside the controlled environment of the hospital.

Key topics include:

  • Understanding and applying difficult airway algorithms tailored for the prehospital setting.
  • Review of advanced techniques such as SALAD,single practitioner bougie use, face-to-face intubation, and renegade intubation.
  • Strategies for medication-facilitated intubation (MFI) and delayed sequence intubation (DSI), including patient selection, pharmacology, and safety considerations.

This interactive session is tailored for individuals aspiring to become effective at giving feedback, whether to colleagues or students. Participants will gain valuable insights and practical strategies into providing constructive feedback, handling difficult conversations, and fostering a supportive environment for growth. With the goal of positively impacting the growth and development of their peers and students while navigating the complexities of providing feedback in diverse and challenging situations.

In this session, participants will:

  1. Learn the art of providing feedback that is constructive, specific, and actionable.
  2. Identify challenges in providing feedback to difficult individuals.
  3. Explore techniques for initiating and managing challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  4. Understand the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment for growth.
  5. Discuss ways to build trust and rapport with those being coached or mentored.
