In collaboration with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), the Community Paramedicine Model in Moose Jaw is a connected care model, utilizing Community Paramedics to provide medical support and treatment as well as resources in a community-based setting for individuals who are experiencing mental health illness and substance use disorder.
Services include:
- Clinical Assessments & Diagnostics (12-Lead ECG)
- Physician, Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatry Consults
- First Dose Antibiotic Administration
- Mental Health and Addiction Supports (Home Detox Treatment/Support/Medical Oversight)
- Emergency Department Supports
- Administration of Intravenous Fluids/Medications & Medication Assistance
- Vital Sign Monitoring
- Wellness Checks/Clinics
- Nasopharyngeal/Oropharyngeal Swabs
- Pain and Symptom Management
- Clinical Illness/Disease Surveillance
- Phlebotomy
- Wound Care and Dressing Changes
